Abortion has become one of the hottest topics in America.
And the question that has become front and center is "When is okay to abort a baby?"
In short, never. The answer is never. It is never okay to abort a baby.
But Wade, it's not a baby...it's a fetus. A cluster of cells. A parasitic entity that can be extinguished at any point because it has no rights.
But Wade, what about if that "baby" is the result of rape or incest, or has a disability, or I made a mistake early in life and don't want to miss opportunities that may come my way, or I can't afford a baby at this time in my life, or I'm not ready for a child/another child, or I don't want to be a single mother because of relationship issues.
HOW MANY EXCUSES CAN YOU POSSIBLY THROW OUT TO GET OUT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY?!?!?!?!?!?!
Here's the bottom line. If you believe in God, you are against abortion. Period. People who believe in God, cannot be supportive of abortion for any reason. If you are for abortion, you don't believe in God, and your faith is a lie.
In Psalm 118, the writer says that God is the one who put me together inside my mothers' womb. Some versions say he "knit" me together. That's interesting to me because knitting takes time, it takes skill, it takes a pattern or knowledge from previous works, not everyone can do it, and knitting creates something out of singular pieces of yarn.
Babies aren't just created when they leave the birth canal of the mother. They are carefully constructed by the Creator. Later on in that passage of Psalms, it says God has laid out everything I will do in my life. Aborting a baby in the mother's womb is taking away the plan God has for that child. It is killing the life that God could use to change the world. It is murdering a human being, because in someway or another the mother is trying to escape the responsibilities and consequences of her choices.
The responsibility of being a parent begins before conception. It begins with the choice to have sex, and the choice to have sex comes with consequences.
Responsibility is taking control of your actions and their consequences, whether intended or unintended.
Aborting a baby makes you murderer. It makes you against God. It makes you responsible for the consequences of your actions.
So. Are you for God? A follower of God? A Servant of the Most High?
Then you cannot support abortion in any way.
God and the sin of abortion cannot be together.
It is time to rise up, Men of God, Women of God, Children of God, stand against abortion. It is not about choice. It is not about controlling a woman's body, it is about taking a life from the world, that God has carefully knit together for beautiful and wonderful things.
Live in Peace.
